A native of France, Laurent Dufourg began his remarkable styling career as an apprentice in a trendsetting Parisian salon. He later opened two exclusive salons in Europe where he built his reputation for artistic, cutting-edge hairstyles, attracting a very fashionable and prestigious clientele. While continuing to create innovative styles for his celebrity clients, Laurent discovered an untapped need for a private reserve of products which has led to the creation of Privé formule aux herbes, a premium hair care collection developed personally by Laurent to achieve the most challenging styles naturally. His reputation as a master stylist placed his services in high demand, making him the go-to hair stylist for major Fashion Week shows and leading him to open his signature Privé salons. Laurent’s dream was to open his salon in the best location possible, finally realizing his dream when he opened in the most prestigious building in New York City, The Sherry-Netherland . The 1,500 square foot salon includes 8 cutting chairs and a private color room on the mezzanine level. With a very select talented team, an exquisite location, and walls finished with art by Mr. Brainwash, Laurent D is bringing his trendy downtown vibe uptown.

Valentino Longo, born and raised in Venice, Italy, comes from a family of artists and draws on his rich heritage for inspiration. After beginning his career in Venice, he moved to Milan where he began working with Oribe. It wasn’t long before Valentino made his way to the United States where he was soon creating styles for some of the world’s most famous celebrities, supermodels, and socialites—including Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, Andrea Bocelli, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Amber Valletta, Christy Turlington, Daphne Guinness, and Lydia Hearst to name a few.

Valentino seeks to encourage his clients to take risks. He describes his approach as “simple yet modern,” blending precise, fashion-forward techniques that include the dry cutting technique, which was introduced to him by John Sahag, and a perfectionist styling technique he developed during his many years at Garren New York. His work has appeared in the pages of Elle and Allure, and he has styled hair for the runways of Valentino, Anna Sui, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Fendi, and D-Squared.

Working on these visionary presentations has inspired him to create hairstyles that incorporate the concepts of each designer while enhancing the individual attributes of each client that make their hair unique.  He creates a beautiful, voluminous sexy look that’s always on trend by using his signature technique: he ends each haircut at a 90-degree angle, and while the hair is gravitating downward, he makes the final cuts.

“My goal is to create a style that remains easy, manageable, and consistent from the moment they leave to when they return.”

Davidé Torchio is a renowned editorial artist and hairstylist known for fusing fashion and innovation in all of his cuts. He treats each of his clients as a unique work of art—whether it’s a client coming in for a quick trim or a top model at a shoot.

He doesn’t merely cut hair; he sculpts it with the same intense creative focus of an artist attuned with all the nuances of his medium: how the hair grows, falls, and relates to the shape of the face and personality of the client.

Davidé’s love of hair began as an 8-year-old growing up in Turin and Rome , Italy, where all of his neighborhood friends received amateur yet impassioned haircuts—much to the chagrin of his mother, who eventually had to banish all scissors from their home to appease the neighborhood parents.

His precocious affinity for hair eventually led him, at the age of 14, to his first job at a prominent Turin salon and a scholarship for a fashion and beauty school as well as an internship at the Balmain Couture house . After graduating he set off for Milan to work with some of the world’s leading fashion houses and photographers.

From there, Davidé’s love of the entertainment industry pulled him by the heartstrings to LA, the very heart of the Silver Screen, where he studied under Jose Eber and Laurent D and coiffed some of Hollywood’s most famous personalities including Farrah Fawcett, Cher, Cristina Ricci, Winona Ryder, Morgan Fairchild, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Naomi Campbell.

In 2000, after a brief sejour in France working in Paris Couture, Davidé arrived in New York, where he now resides and enjoys a reputation as a leading hairstylist and editorial artist favored by top industry photographers. His work has been featured in magazines such as Vogue, Glamour, Surface, Harper’s Bazaar, as well as in numerous international publications like Japanese Figaro and Italian Vanity Fair.

Davidé is represented by the Ivy Eleven agency and has worked with celebrities such as Alicia Silverstone, Brie Larson, Cheryl Hines, Paris Hilton, Adam LambertBrooke Shields, Kathy Griffin, Ricky martin, and Kristen Bell.
